Good news! Kishogue train station on the Kildare Line will open in December 2023. Kishogue station was built in 2009 but the access works were never finished and the station remained unopened. This was followed by years of decay and vandalism but Irish Rail has begun procurement for works to prepare the abandoned station between Clondalkin and Adamstown for opening.

The neighbouring Clonburris SDZ scheme has started construction. The overall scheme is projected to include over 8,000 new residential units home to over 23,000 people and Kishogue station will be at the heart of this scheme.
